  • Menu categories: Vendors can create categories (e.g. Food, Drinks, Starters) with display order; menu items can be assigned to a category for grouped display.
  • Menu item photos: Optional photo per menu item; display on listing and in vendor dashboard.
  • Review photos: Customers can attach up to 3 photos per review.
  • Order issues: Customers can report an issue on an order (not delivered, wrong order, food issue, safety, other) with description and optional photo; status: open → in_progress → resolved/closed; vendors view and update.
  • Order issue chat: Dedicated chat thread per order issue; customer and vendor can message with optional photo per message.
  • Enquiry chat attachments: One optional image per enquiry message. Resolved: enquiry status removed (status only for order issues).

  • Payment system (UK Stripe): Vendor subscription plans (Starter, Growth, Premium) with monthly/annual billing; Stripe Connect for vendor payouts; order payment fields and platform payment settings.
  • Vendor subscriptions: Growth and Premium tiers with trials; subscription and billing state stored per vendor.
  • Admin: Admins can read and update all listings, read all orders, and manage platform settings.
  • UK compliance: Vendor operating country; food business registration and allergen declarations; UK legal acknowledgement; vendor terms acceptance; optional compliance documents.
  • Delete account: Customers and vendors can request account deletion (e.g. scheduled in 7 days); orders and listing history retained with anonymised references.
  • Invoices: Invoices storage bucket for order/invoice PDFs (vendor to customer).
  • Menu allergen tags: Menu items can include allergen tags for allergy information.
  • Vendor setup flow: Payment step can be skipped (“Finish later”); subscription step and payment skip state tracked so vendors are not redirected back unnecessarily.
  • Listings: Default currency for new listings set to GBP.

For customers

Discover local home-cooked meal providers, browse menus, place orders, and chat with vendors.

  • Discovery: Search by city, filters, map, listing details (cuisine, dietary, hours, delivery info).
  • Menu & ordering: View menu (with categories and item photos), add to cart (stock/max respected), cart management, checkout with saved addresses, instant or scheduled orders, delivery validation.
  • Orders: My orders list, order detail, one-click reorder; report an order issue and chat with vendor (with optional photos).
  • Account: Sign up/login, profile, avatar, default and saved delivery addresses.
  • Engagement: Favorites; leave and read reviews (with up to 3 photos per review); send enquiries; chat with vendors (optional image per message).
  • Experience: Dark mode, mobile-friendly, toasts for feedback.

For vendors

List your business, manage menu and delivery, fulfill orders, and communicate with customers.

  • Listing: One listing per account; business details, photo, location, delivery radius, currency, hours; approval workflow.
  • Menu: Categories (e.g. Food, Drinks) with display order; add/edit/remove items with optional photo; reorder items and categories; optional stock and max per order.
  • Delivery: Flexible (instant) or Fixed (scheduled days/times); set delivery days and time window.
  • Orders: Orders list with status filter and “New” badge; order detail; update status; view and manage order issues (customer-reported) with dedicated chat and optional photos; realtime updates.
  • Enquiries & chat: Receive enquiries, reply in chat (optional image per message), unread count and chat list.
  • Analytics: Metrics over date range (orders, revenue, etc.) with day/week/month grouping.
  • Account: Vendor dashboard, no cart when logged in as vendor, remove listing, testimonials, terms/policies; read reviews (and review photos) on your listing (no self-reviews).
